Teledyne’s Z-Trak & 3D Apps Studio

Z-Trak™ 3D Apps Studio is a suite of software tools developed for in-line 3D measurement applications. Designed to work with Teledyne DALSA’s 3D laser profilers, simplifies 3D inspection and dimensional measurement tasks on the factory floor.

3D tools in this Apps Studio can accurately measure the dent area and the height of cylindrical objects. It also features streamlined tools for measuring object thickness, inspecting glue-beads, weld seams, and identifying defects on flat, inclined, and curved surfaces on machined, assembled, or extruded parts. it has algorithms to analyze the surface geometry, providing precise measurements of deformation and dimensions. This functionality is essential in various applications, such as quality control, product design, and manufacturing processes.

The Apps Studio also provides a 3D tool to measure hole sizes in a 3D image and perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on a 2D image converted from that 3D image.

In addition to its software, the 3D profiler features in-line processing capabilities that can eliminate unwanted reflections, resulting in cleaner 3D scans. This enhancement enables applications to produce more accurate and reliable results.
