LINE SCAN CAMERA
Line scan cameras project a single row of pixels to continuously scan an object as it linearly passes through the sensor. A 2D image is then constructed and compared to past line scans to determine if a defect exists. Typically paired with a conveyer belt for high speed continuous application, it can also be fitted into tight spaces, thereby allowing it to reach most object surfaces.
